Recap phim có làm hư nội dung | Mình đồng ý chỉ một phần thôi nhé vì thiết nghĩ chúng ta đang nhìn nhận vấn đề chưa tổng quát cho lắm về cái gọi là trào lưu “recap phim.”

Đây là hình thức tóm tắt nội dung bộ phim vài tiếng trong vài phút. Nó kể lại chuyện gì xảy ra từ đầu đến cuối. Đến mức bạn không cần coi phim cũng biết cốt truyện và diễn biến chính. 

Nhiều người nghĩ rằng nó spoil bộ phim tức làm người ta mất hứng. Họ sẽ tự nói “Tại sao phải bỏ tiền đi coi phim trong khi mình có thể biết hết nội dung trong 5 phút.”

Điều đó rất đúng nếu họ là người chỉ muốn biết cốt truyện chứ không quan tâm gì đến yếu tố điện ảnh, nghệ thuật và trải nghiệm phim. Người ta coi phim đâu phải là để nghe kể lại chuyện gì đã xảy ra. Cũng giống như đọc sách vậy, họ muốn tận mình chứng kiến từ giây phút một.

Bây giờ tôi có thể tóm tắt nội dung của nguyên một cuốn sách không thiếu điểm chính nào. Nhưng đâu có nghĩa là làm giảm doanh thu hay khiến người khác không muốn mua nữa. Nếu họ thấy điểm chính cuốn hút thì họ sẽ mua. Thậm chí sẽ mua nhiều hơn vì có ai đó giới thiệu và bình luận bài bản về nó. Bạn không thể nào thu gọn vài trăm trang trong vài trăm chữ đâu.

Phim cũng vậy. Người tóm tắt chỉ có thể nói phận ngọn, còn những phần gốc thì phải coi mới biết. Người ta đi đến cine để trải nghiệm màn hình lớn, âm thanh xung quanh và vui chơi với bạn bè. Không có một bài review phim nào có thể thay thế được. 

Tôi thì không ủng hộ cách làm nội dung tóm tắt như trào lưu gần đây. Người thực hiện nên tế nhị và văn minh hơn. Cũng nhờ họ mà tôi biết đến nhiều bộ phim hay như The Pianist. Khi coi xong phiên bản recap thì tôi coi trên Netflix ngay. 

Đối tượng chính của cine và phim rạp là những người muốn trải nghiệm, họ sẽ tiếp tục ủng hộ dù đã coi recap hay không. Còn những người không muốn coi thì vẫn vậy.
